This journal gathers together a diverse range of contributions from a number of past and present staff members and from others associated with Te Wānanga o Raukawa. The first section of the journal is a selection of material relating to a Waitangi Tribunal claim lodged by Te Wānanga o Raukawa in 2017: Te Wānanga o Raukawa Whakatupu Mātauranga claim (Wai 2698).

The second section of the journal contains a number of papers on a wide range of subject matters. Paper titles include: Pulse of a Nation: Tino Rangatiratanga, Decolonisation and Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse; Tikanga Māori and the Rights and Obligations of Free Speech; Re-storying Ourselves; What are we Learning from Te Kawa o te Ako About Eliminating Violence?; Our Tūpuna Dreamed the Future for All of Us; and Gender, Sexuality and Creation Stories.

The third and final section of the journal contains the reflections of a number of staff on their experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The pieces in this volume illustrate a range of contexts within which we can demonstrate and grow our capacity as mātauranga theorists and practitioners. We hope that readers will enjoy them; and that they will be inspired to reflect on their own role as kaitiaki of the mātauranga continuum.
