Terms of service
Te Tākupu, Te Wānanga o Raukawa is guided by kaupapa Māori values in all its activities. An explanation of these values can be found on the Te Wānanga o Raukawa website. These Terms of service are an expression of this.
Delivery and Postage Costs
In expressing rangatiratanga, manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and kotahitanga, Te Tākupu aims to ensure the correct publications arrive to whānau safely and in a timely way.
Please allow 5-10 working days in Aotearoa for delivery.
The following postage costs apply:
- For purchases less than $20.00 = free postage
- For purchases over $20.00 and up to $100.00 = $5.00 postage
- For purchases over $100.00 = free postage
- Bulk orders over 100 copies = freight charges to be confirmed manually.
International orders
Please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery across Australia.
The following postage costs apply:
- For postage to Australia = By weight = Minimum of $35.00 for up to 3kg and in increments of $10 per 3kg.
Te Tākupu doesn’t distribute hard copy books beyond Aotearoa and Australia, due to the high costs of postage internationally. Our whānau living abroad may like to purchase from our selection of digital books (ebooks and audiobooks). These are available to purchase by visiting this link: https://linktr.ee/tetaakupu
Returns and Refunds (including books damaged in transit)
In expressing rangatiratanga, manaakitanga and kotahitanga, Te Tākupu aims to ensure the correct publications arrive to our whānau safely and in a timely way. If this doesn’t occur we will look at each situation on a case-by-case basis in order to find a resolution.
Sale items
At times, specific Te Tākupu publications will be offered at a special rate. This will usually be for a specified period of time. Our regular prices will apply at all other times and on all other publications.
Bulk orders
Purchases of 100 copies or more will qualify for a 10% discount. Please contact us to find out more information about bulk orders: tetakupu@twor.ac.nz
Your Information
When you sign-up to Te Tākupu’s mailing list we treat your information as a taonga. We do not share your information and will only use it to let you know about new books we are releasing or promotions that are being offered.
Holiday Hours
Our tari will be closed for a three-week period over the Christmas and Summer holidays. We will fill your orders on our return.

Manaakitanga
The information in these Terms of Service for the Te Tākupu Shopify site is correct to the best of our knowledge at this point in time. Te Tākupu has provided this information in line with our wish to express kaupapa Māori in all our activities, this includes manaakitanga, rangatiratanga, kotahitanga and kaitiakitanga. Te Tākupu cannot accept responsibility for circumstances outside of our control, but we will always endeavour to expresss manaakitanga where such instances occur.
